Does the idea of a calm, reflective space to slow down and take stock sound nourishing to you?

Are you craving more depth of connection with other women, beyond small talk and brief interactions?

Do you feel a pull to share authentically and witness others do the same?

If so, circle is for you.

ABOUT CIRCLE

Circle offers a simple format to foster deeper connection and compassion through open sharing.

Why share stories?

Whether sharing or listening, storytelling is healing. Giving voice to experience honours the many transitions and phases of life, and can help to make sense of things.

How is circle different to a social gathering?

Unlike a social or familial gathering, there is no advice giving or solutions offered in circle. It is an interruption free space to drop expectations and give voice to what is stirring.

What to expect from a circle?

A circle can be joyful, deep, light, funny and any mix of each - no one is the same.

If you’re craving a different kind of space to share what feels true and witness others doing the same, this is your invitation to join.

I hold regular circles both online and in-person. Find out more below.

If you’d like to book a corporate or private circle, get in touch for more information.

Clare’s circle was a joy to attend. The women who came together, the space held by Clare and the sense of belonging I felt was incredible. Thank you for holding space so beautifully, Clare.

IN PERSON WOMEN’S CIRCLE

with Clare Proudfoot & Chloe George

A tender and restorative space to find pause and deep connection.

Saturday 27 January Forest Hill Friends Meeting House 4pm-6pm

Are you craving a space to give voice to your experience free of advice and solutions?

Would you like to experience more depth of connection with other women?

Do you sense the importance of ceremony and ritual but find your day-to-day life lacking in both?

If so, this women’s circle is for you.

About this Circle

Hosted in person, this women’s circle is invitation to gather, ground and connect with a small group of women, through open sharing and deep listening.

Grounded in the importance of ritual, this circle is a spacious but contained place to honour where you’ve been and where you are.

Created as an antidote to the forward moving momentum of modern life, this circle holds a simple but sacred container to find pause and honour the beginnings, ends and transitions that are part of the fabric of our human experience.

Women of all ages and life stages are welcome to join the circle.

I can’t tell you what you will experience in circle, but I can say that it has the potential to be a beautifully grounding, transformational and life-affirming practise.

If experimenting with authentic expression and witnessing others do the same sounds refreshingly different, this is for you.

It felt like sharing those thoughts and feelings in circle was like holding an object in my hands and inspecting it from every angle and seeing things I’d never noticed before.
— Helen

What happens in a Circle

  • Everyone gathers in the cosy candlelit space

  • I’ll welcome the group in and go over some simple group agreements

  • There will be a short grounding practice, a bit like a guided meditation, to bring everyone into the space and to help find a deeper feeling of embodiment

  • A check-in question will be offered up to the group as a really gentle introduction

  • The space is then dedicated to open sharing for anyone who wants to share (i’ll explain how we do this in the circle)

  • Once everyone who would like to share has a chance to do so, i’ll close the space with a final grounding practice

  • Finally we say goodbye before leaving the space

What you’ll need

Comfortable warm clothes and your favourite blanket.

There’s no need to prepare anything to say. Trust that if there’s something to be voiced it will come.

If this feels intriguing to you but comes with a side of trepidation, know that there is no requirement to share. Witnessing other people share authentically can be a really powerful experience in itself.

How many people can join?

The group size is limited to around 12. This helps fosters a more intimate vibe and ensures that there is enough time for everyone who wants to share to do so.

Where is it?

This women’s circle will be hosted at Friends Meeting House, 34 Sunderland Road, Forest Hill, SE23 2QA.
